The garden is nestled within the majestic drumlins of County Down overlooking Slieve Croob and roughly 4 miles from the nearest market town of Ballynahinch. We are at an altitude of 400 ft above sea level.
This is a 3.5 acre plant lover's garden developed lovingly by the owners since 2013. The garden is situated on an exposed windy site with heavy clay soil. We have a mixture of themed beds and borders having spring bulbs, woodland plants, colourful perennials, wide range of shrubs and trees. All our beds are designed with succession planting in mind that extends the gardening season. We look forward to your visit and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
The creators ...
We are locally known as the two Thomas'. The garden has been our main passion and we work well as a team. Over the last 10 years we have been working non-stop in the garden creating new beds and borders.
Our Story
Humble beginnings ...
All our gardens started from a plain canvas as the house was surrounded by fields. Painstakingly and over time we gradually designed, cleared ground and planted based on the type of border.
What we achieved ...
Since 2013 we have come a long way in establishing the garden and have enjoyed the process of the garden maturing over time. As gardeners we are constantly evolving the garden and creating new borders and corridors of interest for our visitors. The garden and all the creation is the work of its owners.
